Mechanical CAD Engineer – 6-Month Contract (Outside IR35)
Exciting opportunity for a skilled Mechanical CAD Engineer to join a dynamic, innovative team in Scotland.
Location: Scotland
Rate: £60/hour
Location: Full-time on-site (flexible working possible)
What You’ll Do:
Develop and manage both 2D and 3D CAD models
Produce 2D drawings, manufacturing documentation, and BOMs
Define mechanical and fluid interfaces
Ensure designs are manufacturable and meet tolerance requirements
Support PDR/CDR reviews with CAD visualizations
Incorporate feedback from mechanical and fluid systems engineers
You’ll Need:
Experience with Ground Support Systems (or similar experience in Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Industrial Lifting etc)
Strong CAD skills (CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Nice to Have:
Experience with cryogenic materials, structures, or piping
