We are working on behalf of a well-established Accountancy Practice based in Ipswich who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be supporting the finance department with daily accounting operations and ensuring the smooth running of their financial processes. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Assisting with payroll and expense claims
  • Reconciling bank statements and supplier accounts
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

Skills & Experience Required:

  • At least 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Ideally AAT qualified or currently studying (not essential)
  • Practice experience is essential
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and Free Agent
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organisation, and a proactive mindset
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team
