Senior Ecologist - Ipswich - 30,000-40,000 DOE

Our client, a leading environmental consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join their growing team in Ipswich. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional looking to take the next step in their ecological career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead ecological surveys and assessments, including habitat and species surveys.

  • Prepare high-quality ecological reports, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies.

  • Provide expert ecological advice to clients and project teams.

  • Mentor and support junior ecologists within the team.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policy, and industry best practice.

Requirements:

  • Degree or higher qualification in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field.

  • Significant post-graduate experience in a consultancy or applied ecological setting.

  • Experience with protected species surveys and habitat assessments.

  • Strong report writing and communication skills.

  • Full UK driving license and ability to work across the East of England.
