Business Development Manager - Security Solutions based in East Anglia.

Our client is a much-loved high street retail brand with a first-class legacy in delivering fantastic service in the community. The business has entered a significant period of change, whereby they are seeking a Business Development professional to step into a new opportunity within their Security Response Division and promote its services to new and existing clients.
What qualities will you need to be successful?
- Tenacity and drive to seek new business on the phone and in person to meet and exceed targets.
- UK wide Business Development experience would be essential, but an ability to reach East Anglia’s head office would be preferred.
- An SIA license or be able to apply for one.
- IT skills, including the use of security technologies and an ability to prepare and present in detail.
- Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients.
- A real feel/empathy for our client’s business model, complexity and values is a must as cultural fit will play a key part in the recruitment process.
- Project Management and first-class organisational skills.
- Negotiating skills.
- Initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch.
- Loss prevention or technology backgrounds are preferred.
- First class presentation and stakeholder management exposure.
- The ability to think strategically and commercially to grow this security services division and be highly motivated by winning new business!
- Health and safety experience and a general understanding of legislation would be advantageous also.
- To report to our client’s Chief Security Response officer and liaise closely with internal security professionals within the security team as well as working closely with other stakeholders and teams.
