Our client, a leading company in the rail sector, is currently seeking an experienced PTS Site Engineer to join a rail infrastructure project based near Ipswich. This is a contract role lasting 6-8 months, providing an opportunity to work on the installation of new level crossings as part of a key regional upgrade programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support the installation of new level crossings per Network Rail standards and project specifications
- Provide setting out, surveying, and engineering control across the work site
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and within quality requirements
- Liaise with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure efficient delivery
- Maintain accurate site records, including ITPs, as-builts, and quality documentation
- Ensure full compliance with safety procedures and site protocols
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on railway projects (level crossing or trackside experience preferred)
- PTS / Sentinel certification (essential)
- Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards and site processes
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- CSCS and relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent)
