Company Overview

My client, a Commercial Vehicle Paint shop and Repairs is a leading specialist workshop dedicated to high-quality paintwork and repairs for all types of Heavy Goods Vehicles and Light Goods Vehicles. Their purpose-built facilities are equipped to handle everything from small repairs to full fleet paintwork, servicing major commercial vehicle dealers such as MAN, Volvo Trucks & Scania, and other prominent local companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and paint commercial vehicles including HGVs, LGVs, & trailers, to the highest standard.
  • Carry out new fleet paintwork for major truck dealers and fleet operators.
  • Perform surface preparation, including sanding, masking, priming, and finishing.
  • Conduct blasting operations to remove rust, paint, and contaminants from metal surfaces, including chassis etch blasting.
  • Inspect finished work for quality control and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Carry out minor body repairs as needed (e.g., filling, panel preparation, light fabrication).

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in automotive or commercial vehicle environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental best practices in a paint shop setting.
