Sales Estimator - Needham Market / StowmarketFull-Time | Temp to PermMon-Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm£25,000 - £35,000 (DOE)

A well-established manufacturing/construction company based near Needham Market/Stowmarket, is seeking a Sales Estimator to join its team. This a temporary role with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations based on technical drawings and project specifications.
  • Interpret and assess engineering drawings to create tailored project estimates.
  • Source and manage costings from both existing and new suppliers.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the product range, manufacturing processes, and installation considerations.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry through to order placement, ensuring a professional client experience.
  • Handle customer calls, emails, and enquiries efficiently and knowledgeably.
  • Support procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective sourcing aligned with estimates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends and maintain awareness of commercial opportunities.
  • Attend client meetings as required to review requirements and present proposals.

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Sales Estimator position:

  • Experience in estimating or technical sales within the construction industry a bonus.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and the ability to translate them into detailed quotes.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Barbour ABI or similar platforms is a plus.
