CAD Design Engineer - Open only to Full UK Citizens living and working in the UK

Location: Near Stowmarket, Suffolk
Salary: £43,000–£55,000 + Benefits & Bonus

My client seeks an CAD Design Engineer to take a key role in developing electrical schematics, control panels and wiring systems. This role offers technical variety, hands-on collaboration with manufacturing teams, and the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement and product innovation.

What you’ll do

  • Create detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts & wiring diagrams in EPLAN Pro Panel, Training is provided to get you up to speed
  • Produce project documentation (BOMs, cable schedules, terminal plans)
  • Work closely with project managers & cross-functional teams
  • Support manufacturing with technical input & design queries
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEC/UL/EN)
  • Participate in design reviews & improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring

  • Proven CAD design experience 
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems & industrial automation
  • Ability to interpret standards & apply best practice
  • Strong problem-solving mindset & high attention to detail
  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (advantageous)
