Our client is a well established, Cambridge based main contractor working on Commercial, Health and Educational projects throughout East Anglia. The company have a vacancy for an estimator to join the team and prepare quotations for construction projects.
The company are looking for an intermediate to experienced level estimator to join their evergrowing commercial team.
ROLE: • Interpreting construction drawings, taking measurements, and establishing quantities to assist the compilation of quotations. • Preparing construction estimates for preliminaries, labour, material, and equipment associated with the project scope of work. • Working with suppliers to establish competitive quotations. • Attending meetings and site visits. • Use of computer software such as MS Excel, MS Word, Microsoft suite. • Interface with construction managers and site teams.
CANDIDATE: A successful candidate for this role will have: • Experience within the construction industry as an estimator • Numeracy skills • Good IT skills with experience of estimating software an advantage •
