This includes representing FibreNest effectively during high-profile site visits, demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills across all field operations.

  • Build and prepare the Access Network, from cabinets to customer premises (including rodding, cabling, splicing, testing, commissioning, customer handover).
  • Assist with installing and commissioning of new street cabinets and 3rd party connections (planning, surveying, site visits).
  • Expertly locate and repair network faults using tools like OTDR, OPM, LFD, and VFL.
  • Promote FibreNest's quality standards with Persimmon Homes and stakeholders.
  • Ensure network builds meet quality, budget, and service standards through regular checks against technical specifications.
  • Continuously seek to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Engage with teams on live developments to ensure high standards.
  • Report regularly to the Regional Manager/Supervisor on build safety and quality.
  • Keep network records accurate (provide images, diagrams, test results).
  • Perform other relevant duties as requested by management.
What experience do I need?
  • Full UK driving license (max 6 points).
  • Solid understanding of optical network construction and maintenance.
  • Experience in fibre-optic installation, splicing, and distribution.
  • Good knowledge of UK telecoms networks.

  • Builds good relationships easily.
  • Strong collaborator.
  • Practically competent.
  • Able to challenge constructively.
  • Proactive, takes ownership, delivers high-quality work.
