Our client, a prominent player in the HTP sector, is currently seeking an experienced Slinger to join their team at the Sizewell C project site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely attaching and detaching loads using appropriate slinging techniques
- Guiding crane operators to move loads to precise locations on the project site
- Ensuring all lift operations are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicating effectively with team members and crane operators to ensure smooth and safe operations
- Conducting regular inspections of lifting gear and equipment
- Maintaining clear and accurate records of lifting operations
- Identifying potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate risks
- Assisting with general site operations as needed
Job Requirements:
- Experience in slinging and signalling, with a strong focus on safety
- Proficiency in using various types of lifting gear and equipment
- Certification as a Slinger/Signaller (Banksman)
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Understanding of health and safety regulations related to lifting operations
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work on-site at Sizewell C
