Join a prominent insurance company in Ipswich as a Claims Handler with a focus on Property. This vital role involves managing significant commercial and personal property claims that surpass a £50,000 limit.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:
  • Handle and process property claims over £50,000, conducting thorough investigations and ensuring settlements align with company protocols.
  • Supervise claims managed by external administrators within their authority limits, monitoring adherence to time and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with loss adjusters, investigators, and other relevant professionals to ensure efficient progress and timely updates on claims.
  • Maintain precise records of claims in the system and address any related financial inquiries.
  • Compile and dispatch substantial claim notifications to reinsurers and the London office.
  • Track ongoing claims and their financial implications.
  • Support the Claims Manager in regular claims reviews and undertake various related tasks.
  • Evaluate Householders and Commercial claims managed by our MGAs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in handling property claims, whether in a commercial or personal capacity.
  • Strong technical knowledge of insurance and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, especially spreadsheets.
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
  • Team-oriented with effective collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance issues.
  • Preferably holding a Cert CII or equivalent qualification.
  • Solid academic background, particularly in Maths and English at GCSE level.
