Time Appointments are delighted to be working on behalf of a prestigious company based in Ipswich, who are seeking an experienced Stock Controller to manage and track shipping containers arriving in and across the UK. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong administrative background and excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the stock of shipping containers from overseas and UK-based suppliers
- Accurately inputting and maintaining stock data across systems
- Monitoring and managing stock levels to ensure accuracy and availability
- Creating and managing purchase orders and sales invoices
- Running and analysing stock reports using Excel
- Conducting regular stock takes and resolve discrepancies
- Liaising with logistics partners, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate container movement
- General administration to support stock and operations processes
Previous Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in stock control, logistics, or a similar admin-heavy role
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Experienced in raising invoices and purchase orders
- Strong data input and report-running capabilities
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
