The Opportunity

An award-winning UK law firm is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Commercial Property Solicitor (6+ years PQE) to join its specialist Utilities Team.

This is a standout opportunity for a property lawyer with a strong background in commercial or residential real estate, and ideally with an interest or experience in the utilities, infrastructure, or energy sectors, to step into a pivotal role within a fast-growing team.

The Role

You will play a central role in the development and future growth of a nationally recognised team that acts for utility network operators and infrastructure providers across the UK.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and supervising complex property transactions relating to utility infrastructure
  • Advising clients on freehold and leasehold acquisitions, easements, and network asset management
  • Leading on client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
  • Supporting the team’s wider growth plans through mentoring and technical development
  • Taking an active role in thought leadership, sector-focused marketing, and business development initiatives

The team handles high-volume, time-critical conveyancing work for a client base that includes DNOs, IDNOs, gas transporters, fibre providers, water companies, and EV infrastructure developers.

About You

We’re looking for:

  • A qualified solicitor with 6+ years PQE in commercial property, residential development, or infrastructure-related real estate
  • A strong technical background and proven ability to handle complex title and transactional work
  • Previous experience or a demonstrable interest in utilities, energy, infrastructure, or telecoms (preferred, not essential)
  • The ability to build and maintain long-standing client relationships
  • An interest in mentoring, business development, and playing a strategic role in a growing team
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and strong commercial acumen
