In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Container Operations team. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be responsible for the organisation of a fleet of 25 trucks minimum, as well as their routes/timings and drivers alike. You will also be responsible for the development and implementation of Operational Strategies. Finally, you will be responsible for developing, mentoring and subsequently leading your own Operations Team.

The ideal Operations Manager/Transport Planner will have a background in the Logistics Industry- specifically prior experience within Container Operations. You will also have an in-depth knowledge of UK ports/depots. You will also have prior experience within an Operations Manager/Transport Planner position.

The role:

  • Lead the Container Operations team
  • Organisation of a fleet of 25+ trucks
  • Development and Implementation of Operational Procedures/Strategies

The person:

  • A background in Logistics - specifically Container Operations
  • Previous experience as an Operations Manager/Transport Planner
  • In depth knowledge of UK ports and depots
