Warehouse Supervisor - Gofer is recruiting a Warehouse and Yard Supervisor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis, based in Ipswich, Suffolk.

About the role:
As our Warehouse and Yard Supervisor, you’ll support the Head of Projects by overseeing hire preparation, equipment delivery, and on-site setup. You’ll ensure our warehouse operates efficiently, our generators are maintained to the highest standards, and our team delivers excellent service. Working hours for this role will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5 pm, with a minimum of 40 hours per week and an on-call rota covering at least 66 midweek and 26 weekend days.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Prepping and de-prepping generators and equipment for hires.
- Make sure our equipment is safely stored, cleaned, while maintaining strict health and safety standards.
- Oversee servicing, testing, calibration and maintenance of our generators and equipment, ensuring we meet company guidelines.
- Supervise and motivate our warehouse team, fostering a productive and positive working environment.
- Deliver and install temporary electrical distribution on-site, providing technical support where required.
- Maintain excellent relationships with our customers, delivering reliable service and support.
About you:
As Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll bring experience in the events industry and a passion for power generation and mechanics. Experience servicing generators, plant, or vehicles will help you thrive in this fast-paced environment. A full driving licence with towing ability is essential; forklift, ADR, or electrical qualifications are desirable. You’ll be skilled in time management, problem-solving, and people leadership, with a strong commitment to safety and reliability, ensuring every event we support runs smoothly.
