We are inviting applications for the position of Claims Handler - Liability for our client in Ipswich. This role is based in Ipswich and is crucial for managing public and employers’ liability claims associated with our commercial property and motor portfolios. The successful candidate will play a key role in upholding our standards for timely and quality claims resolution.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Process and oversee claims related to risks underwritten by the company.
- Manage the performance of third-party service providers to ensure they meet our quality and timing standards.
- Accurately record and monitor all claims activities.
- Collaborate with loss adjusters, solicitors, investigators, and other professionals to ensure effective claim resolution.
- Prepare and dispatch detailed claim advices to reinsurers and our London office.
- Monitor ongoing claims and their financial impacts.
- Assist in resolving complaints efficiently.
- Conduct regular reviews of claims handling processes.
- Coordinate with MGAs & TPAs to enhance the handling of RTA & motor claims.
- Provide support to the Claims Manager with various claim-related tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in liability claims handling, including areas such as Commercial Property, Employers Liability, Public Liability, or Motor.
- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance principles.
- Strong organizational and IT skills, particularly in spreadsheet management.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively.
- A proactive approach to personal skill development and meeting business objectives.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance within the insurance industry.
Qualifications:
- Cert CII or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong GCSE results, particularly in Maths and English.
