We are thrilled to be working with a Motor Engineering serviced company based in Ipswich who are currently recruiting for an experienced Inhouse Vehicle Damage Assessor. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor or Desktop Motor Engineer looking to further their career.

Applicants are required to have previous body shop/panel beating experience or previous experience working for an in-house motor engineering company in a vehicle damage assessing/engineering role. It is essential that you have the ability to value vehicles using recognised industry publications and market research, and an understanding of areas of damage and vehicle types. Experience of using industry related software including Audatex would be advantageous. IAEA membership (The Institute of Automotive Engineer Assessors) essential.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, the successful Candidate and be expected to undertake day-to-day duties to a high standard as well as being flexible and motivated to support the business’s needs.

Key Duties Include:

  • Reviewing and dealing with queries and new work through the engineering mailbox
  • First point of contact to review files, notes and job cards to establish the best course of action.
  • Instructing physical inspections accurately as well as quality checking
  • Handling own allocation of engineering work and reviewing images at desktop.
  • Processing work within agreed timescales and adhering to all contractual and procedural guidelines.
