We are excited to welcome a new apprentice to our busy and friendly Procurement Team at Vertas Group. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience, develop valuable skills, and work alongside experienced professionals who are committed to your growth!What You’ll Be Doing:As a Procurement Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in supporting procurement activities across the Vertas Group.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being the first point of contact for procurement-related queries.
  • Advising stakeholders on procurement policies and procedures.
  • Conducting supplier due diligence and supporting sourcing activities. - undertake the pre-qualification of potential suppliers using Smartsheet, e.g., insurance levels, technical capacity, sustainability, H & S etc in line with the business policies.
  • Assisting with evaluations, contract mobilisations, and supplier negotiations.
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting audits.
  • Helping to analyse data for spend trends, cost-benefit analysis, and procurement decisions.
  • Building strong relationships with internal teams and supply chain partners.

What We’re Looking For:We’re seeking someone who is:

  • Enthusiastic, resourceful, and eager to learn.
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • A confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Able to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.
  • Minimum Requirement: GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English.
