I’m recruiting for a leading UK main contractor delivering high-value education projects in Ipswich. We are looking for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor (MQS) to manage three school developments worth £150M.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple school projects from inception to completion.

  • Lead and mentor a junior QS team.

  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact.

  • Prepare cost plans, procurement strategies, and valuations.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage commercial risks.

Requirements / Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Management Quantity Surveyor on multi-million-pound projects.

  • Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and commercial reporting.

  • Experience in leading and developing QS teams.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Commercially proactive with ability to make independent decisions.
