Join a world-leading UK manufacturer of high-specification alloy castings as a Lab Technician, supporting global customers through an end-to-end manufacturing solution. This is a technical, hands-on role within a laboratory and foundry environment, offering long-term stability, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work as part of a skilled metallurgical team.
Lab Technician Duties:
- Carrying out metallurgical testing and chemical analysis
- Supporting test bar failure investigations alongside metallurgists
- Foundry melt release and charge correction activities
- Managing material failure recovery and incoming material control
- Supporting third-party witnessing coordination
- Annual calibration and servicing of laboratory equipment
- Managing material bookings and monitoring testing timelines
- Developing and maintaining software systems for testing and subcontract monitoring
- PMI testing and reporting
Pay & Hours:
- 14.00 - 17.00 p/hour (depending on experience)
- 37 hours per week
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Experience & Skills Required:
- Practical laboratory experience
- Science background (A-level or higher)
- Strong awareness of health & safety in a working environment
- Good working knowledge of manufacturing environments
- Competent in Word and Excel
- Strong numeracy, literacy, and problem-solving skills
- Motivated team player with good communication skills
