SHEQ Advisor - Are you a Group Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Advisor? We are seeking someone with SHEQ experience to work with a successful, family-owned firm based in Ipswich. Our client specialises in construction and offers a wide range of professional services.
The successful candidate will support the SHEQ Manager in establishing and maintaining the highest SHEQ standards for the business. This role involves frequent travel to sites and the successful candidate will assist the SHEQ Manager at Ipswich Head Office.
Your Role:
路Advise, guide and coach all employees with the implementation of the Company procedures and policies.
路Advise on all current occupational SHE legislation.
路Conduct SHEQ inspections, ensuring compliance with Company procedures and policies.
路Assist the Site Team to improve SHEQ performance on site.
路Carry out investigations into accidents/incidents as instructed by the SHEQ Manager.
路Maintain/promote liaison with officials and professional bodies (e.g. HSE, ROSPA, IOSH, BSI, EA etc).
路Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and codes of practice.
路Report to the SHEQ Manager on legal/regulatory compliance and non-compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality system and suggest/promote ways of improving performance.
路Complete the necessary SHEQ training and obtain the relevant professional qualifications.
路Facilitate the SHEQ training and 'face fit' training on site as and when required.

Requirements:
路NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate
路NVQ Level 4 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice is essential
路Associate Member of IEMA is desirable
路Knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001, 49001 is desirable
