Strategy Education areĀ recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants and Learning Support AssistantsĀ with experience of SEMH/Autism/ ADHD/SPLD/PMLD/and SLD to join outstanding special needs schools and resourced provisions based in Suffolk.
We have long term contracts with immediate starts and long term and permanent contracts from September/October 2024.
Ā About the Roles
ā¢ SEN Teaching Assistants for Primary, Secondary and FE SEN settings.
ā¢ Roles across Suffolk
ā¢ Either 1:1 supporting a specific child, or working within small groups.
ā¢ General classroom support.
ā¢ Prior experience supporting students with special education needs (SEND).
ā¢ School hours Term time only.Ā
ā¢ Full time long term contracts with the opportunity to become permanent positionĀ
About the Schools
ā¢ We are looking for Special needs teaching assistants in Ipswich, Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Sudbury and Felixstowe
ā¢ CateringĀ to students with a variety of special needs including speech, language and communication impairment, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, PMLD and SLD
ā¢ Both Permanent and contract work available with good rates of payĀ
ā¢ Schools offer thematicĀ tailored curriculum with a focus on removing barriers to learningĀ
ā¢ Supportive team environment amongst teaching and support staff and therapistsĀ
In order to be considered for theseĀ roles SEN Teaching AssistantsĀ Ā will need to meet the following criteria:
ā¢ Proven and relevant experience as a Teaching Assistant with a SEN classroom environment (minimum 6 weeks)
ā¢ Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
ā¢ Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
ā¢ Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
