SEN Teaching Assistants Wanted - Ipswich, Suffolk

Do you have experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or are you eager to start a rewarding career in education?


We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our friendly and inclusive Primary School located in Ipswich, Suffolk.


Our school is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential. We take pride in our inclusive ethos and work collaboratively to ensure that all pupils feel valued and understood.


As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and SEMH needs.
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.
Help create a positive, supportive learning environment tailored to individual pupils.
Monitor progress and help implement individual education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the SENCo and teaching staff.


We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
Is patient, empathetic, and adaptable in their approach.
Has good communication and teamwork skills.
Experience in an educational or care setting is desirable but not essential - training will be provided for the right candidate.


Position Details:
Full-time and part-time positions available
Start date: As soon as possible or by negotiation
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications
