A leading name in the roofing systems industry, is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Supervisor to join their fast-paced and dynamic team based in Ipswich.
Role Overview:
The successful candidates will be responsible for leading a small team of Purchasing Coordinators, providing daily guidance, training, and support. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in purchasing and a passion for team development and supplier relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor a team of Purchasing Coordinators
- Deliver structured training and upskilling to enhance team capability
- Drive team engagement through coaching, mentoring, and regular 1-2-1s
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers
- Manage escalated purchasing issues and implement improvement plans
- Present key purchasing data and lead pricing reviews
- Champion continuous improvement across purchasing processes
Candidate Profile:
- Extensive purchasing experience with strong technical systems knowledge
- Proven supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong people management, coaching, and influencing skills
- Confident in engaging with suppliers, clients, and stakeholders
- Familiar with supply chain procedures and ERP systems
- CIPS Level 4 qualification (or willingness to undertake)
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
