We're working with a well-established international manufacturer who’s looking to bring on a Purchasing Supervisor to help drive their procurement function forward.If you enjoy coaching others, improving processes, and building great supplier relationships—this could be just the role for you. You’ll be supporting a close-knit team, developing their skills, and helping to keep everything running smoothly day to day. It’s a hands-on role with real variety and lots of scope for growth.Daily duties include:
  • Supporting and mentoring team members, helping them grow in their roles
  • Taking ownership of your area within the purchasing function
  • Managing supplier relationships, reviewing lead times and chasing performance where needed
  • Analysing and presenting spend data, KPIs, and non-conformance reports
  • Leading demand planning and collaborating with suppliers and the sales team on forecasting
  • Getting involved in continuous improvement projects and internal audits
  • Helping with onboarding and training new starters
  • Keeping ERP data accurate and processes compliant
Requirements for the role:
  • Previous experience in a Buyer or Supervisory role, ideally in manufacturing or supply chain
  • Comfortable coaching others and leading by example
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • CIPS Level 4 (or happy to work towards it)
  • Commercially aware with a keen eye for detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems
  • Proactive, positive, and well-organised—someone who thrives in a busy environment
