- Supporting and mentoring team members, helping them grow in their roles
- Taking ownership of your area within the purchasing function
- Managing supplier relationships, reviewing lead times and chasing performance where needed
- Analysing and presenting spend data, KPIs, and non-conformance reports
- Leading demand planning and collaborating with suppliers and the sales team on forecasting
- Getting involved in continuous improvement projects and internal audits
- Helping with onboarding and training new starters
- Keeping ERP data accurate and processes compliant
- Previous experience in a Buyer or Supervisory role, ideally in manufacturing or supply chain
- Comfortable coaching others and leading by example
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- CIPS Level 4 (or happy to work towards it)
- Commercially aware with a keen eye for detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems
