Are you passionate about sustainability?  Do you have a proven track record of developing and implementing sustainability strategies and environmental systems?Would you like the chance to work in a newly created role for a certified B Corp business in central Suffolk?Working closely with the MD and Senior Leadership team this role is to to lead and embed sustainable practices across all business operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the company's sustainability strategy and drive meaningful environmental, social, and economic initiatives.  The role is offered on a hybrid basis working in great offices in a truly collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities will include:- Develop and implement sustainability strategies and ISO 14001 environmental management systems - Lead sustainability reporting, including carbon footprint assessments and external disclosures - Ensure compliance with UK/EU environmental regulations and standards - Conduct Life Cycle Analyses (LCA) for Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) - Collaborate with supply chain and product teams to embed sustainable sourcing and practices - Develop carbon reduction targets and monitor progress - Represent the organization at industry events and trade associations - Deliver sustainability training and enhance internal awareness - Manage climate and community initiatives, including charity partnerships - Communicate sustainability efforts through various channelsBackground and experience required;- Proven experience in sustainability, ideally within construction, manufacturing, or similar sectors - Strong knowledge of UK/EU environmental legislation and frameworks - Experience with ISO 14001, embodied carbon, SBTi, and LCA - Analytical skills with the ability to translate data into action - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills - Strong project management and organisational skills
