Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Bid Writer to join a fast-growing construction group with national coverage. The organisation operates across multiple sectors including earthworks, plant hire, concrete, recycling, aggregates and demolition, and is expanding rapidly across a range of technically complex projects.

This role is ideal for someone with strong writing, coordination and communication skills who can work collaboratively across operational, technical and commercial teams to produce high-quality, client-focused submissions.

Key Responsibilities

Bid Writing & Coordination

  • Produce clear, compelling and compliant bid submissions.

  • Work closely with estimators, project managers and senior leadership to gather accurate technical information.

  • Translate complex information into persuasive, client-focused written content.

  • Ensure all submissions meet tender requirements, deadlines and evaluation criteria.

Content Development

  • Maintain and update the internal bid library.

  • Ensure consistency of tone, style and messaging across all documentation.

  • Create new content that clearly demonstrates the company’s capabilities, strengths and value propositions.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Build strong working relationships across operational, technical and commercial teams.

  • Coordinate input from multiple stakeholders to ensure submissions are accurate and complete.

  • Support continuous improvement in the bid process and overall work-winning strategy.

Document Production

  • Produce high-quality proposal documents, presentations and supporting materials.

  • Ensure all documents are formatted, branded and presented to a professional standard.
