We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator in Irvine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of operations, ensuring safety, and supporting shipping and receiving tasks.

Valid counterbalance license and at leas 1 years experience operating forklift required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas.
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties, including checking incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
  • Handle materials with care, ensuring that all items are stored correctly within the warehouse management system.
  • Assist in heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.

Skills

  • Proven experience in a warehouse setting, particularly in shipping and receiving operations.
  • Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs as necessary.
  • Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required by the role.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory movements.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate counting and inventory management.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure efficient operations.

Hour of Work

Monday to Friday 8am-4pm for the first 4 weeks and after that it goes to shift rotation:

1 week Monday to Friday 6am-2pm

1 week Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm

1 week Sunday to Thursday 10pm-6am
