Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for a leading metal processing business based in Irvine, North Ayrshire who are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer, to lead their production process.Your role will be to ensure that efficient and effective CADCAM programs, tooling, fixtures and methods are created to support the manufacturing operations.
As the Manufacturing Engineer - CNC you will:
- Manage the CNC programming department and schedule adherence for all CNC production operations (WTL’s)
- Monitor output of CNC programs based on quality and readiness
- Manage resources to support all work centres are fully manned where required.
- Communicate and feedback any scheduling, methods and quality issues
- Attend quality meeting and participate in NCR activities through RCCA
- Attend pre-production meetings (PPM’s) to represent the Engineering Dept. and ensure that any concerns or complications are highlighted
- Attend daily production meetings on the shop floor at the ITC and participate in weekly toolbox talk meetings on the shop floor at the ITC
- Support all bid activities on manufacturing times and methods
- Drive a culture of 5S workplace organisation, H&S & quality
To be considered for the Manufacturing Engineer - CNC position you will need:
- Previous experience within the oil and gas industry preferred but Qualifications not essential
- Minimum 5 years’ experience CADCAM software for CNC machines
- Must have an Engineering Apprenticeship or similar
- Fanuc or Mazatrol experience advantageous
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control methodologies
- Proficiency in using CADCAM manufacturing software and other relevant tools for production management and analysis
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proven track record of effective team leadership, motivation, and development
