Astute's Power Team are currently recruiting an Electrical Site Manager to oversee the electrical scope of works for the BOP Cabling scope of works on a new build waste to energy plant in Irvine, Scotland.
The Electrical Site Manager position comes with an hourly rate from 50.00 to 52.00 per hour.
Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:
Oversee daily site activities for the BoP cabling scope (LV/MV cabling, containment, terminations, testing).
Manage site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project plans, health & safety, and quality standards.
Liaise with project and construction managers to align site progress with programme milestones.
Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
Lead toolbox talks and ensure RAMS are implemented effectively.
Interface with the client and attend progress meetings.- Ensure compliance with CDM, company HSEQ standards, and statutory regulations.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager on industrial or energy projects (Waste to Energy, Power, Utilities, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of BoP electrical installation practices.
SSSTS or SMSTS qualification (essential).
ECS/CSCS card (essential).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred).
Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
Strong understanding of health & safety and QA/QC procedures.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
