This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in one of our most critical roles within Waste Networks as a front-line Field Operations Manager.Your main accountability is to manage and support your team.You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the networks to ensure delivery of regulatory compliance within strict budgets and lead and develop a team of 5 Network Engineers.Based in Mogden, however, travel to other sites will be required.36 hours per week – Monday-Friday.What will you be doing as a Field Operations Manager
  • Performance managing a field operations team to deliver operational asset maintenance, customer service targets and supporting efficient completion of projects.
  • Monitor and drive performance against key metrics to make sure all work is responded to promptly.
  • Direct and develop technicians by setting measurable goals, holding team meetings, one to one-on-ones, completing the PDR process and creating individual development training plans.
  • Promote a culture of engagement and motivation within the team.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess the quality of work being completed by your team.
  • Take team responsibility for safe working practices which comply with company procedures.
  • Identify and support the implementation of new initiatives to drive operational efficiency and customer service improvements.
What should you bring to the role?
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in directing, developing and performance-managing field-based operatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this role, and you must have an exceptional standard of organisation and be health, safety, and wellbeing aware.
  • You will be fully proficient in the use of Microsoft Office as well as planning and reporting software.
  • Formal influence and management qualifications are desirable. (but not essential)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the waste water network are desirable. (although not essential) as well as the ability to converse with managers and stakeholders.
  • Due to the nature of the role, a FULL UK Driving licence is essential.
