Engineering Shift Supervisor

Salary: 60,000

4 on 4 off (Days and Nights)

Location: West London

Are you a hands-on, highly skilled engineer ready to take a lead role in a critical environment? We're looking for a proactive Engineering Shift Supervisor to lead our team in maintaining essential infrastructure.

This is a pivotal role where you will be accountable for a team of electrical and mechanical engineers on your shift. You will be responsible for ensuring all planned maintenance is carried out on schedule, prioritising statutory and mandatory tasks, and managing reactive work. You will lead by example, taking ownership of tasks and ensuring your team meets key performance indicators (KPIs).

Roles & Responsibilites:

  • Operational Leadership: Lead site activities, ensuring the team remains compliant and adheres to Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), and permitting systems.

  • High Voltage (HV) Expertise: Act as a High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP), safely and competently carrying out fixed wire testing.

  • Maintenance & Repair: Take full responsibility for all elements of electrical and mechanical installations, repairs, and all contracted maintenance activities.

  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain a thorough understanding of all statutory compliance requirements and company procedures, ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations.

  • Technical Accountability: Be prepared to undertake competency appointments for both electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Record Keeping: Utilise IT systems to accurately and efficiently record all work and maintenance data.



What We're Looking For

You must possess the following qualifications as a minimum:

  • City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 qualification, NVQ Level 3, or HND equivalent in a relevant field.

  • AND/OR BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HND equivalent.

  • High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP) qualification and proven HV experience. You will be required to undertake a technical assessment during the interview.

  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification.

In addition, the following would be advantageous:

  • Previous experience in a critical environment, such as a data center.

  • Confined space training.

  • IEE 18th Edition Regulations.

  • Be available to join a call-out rota.
  • You must hold UK citizenship and have a clean criminal record as the role requires DV clearance.
