About the Role:
A vibrant, welcoming Early Years Children's Centre in the heart of Islington is seeking a passionate and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join their dedicated team from September 2025. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a rewarding role within a supportive, nurturing setting committed to providing outstanding care and education for children aged 6 months to 5 years.
Working as part of an experienced and friendly team, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality early years provision and supporting children's development in a warm, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Provide high standards of care, education and wellbeing for all children
Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
Monitor, assess and record children's progress and development
Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of Early Years professionals
Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education or equivalent (e.g. BA in Early Childhood Studies, Qualified Nursery Nurse)
Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting
Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
Positive, nurturing and proactive approach to childcare and education
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Available for full-time, shift-based work starting in September 2025
