Responsibilities
- You will plan and deliver engaging Science lessons with a focus on Chemistry, igniting curiosity about the composition, structure, properties, and reactions of matter.
- The role involves expertly guiding students through key chemical concepts, conducting experiments, and developing their analytical skills.
- You will cultivate a safe and stimulating laboratory environment where students feel empowered to explore chemical phenomena and develop their scientific inquiry skills.
- You will assess and monitor student progress in Science (Chemistry) with care, providing constructive feedback that fosters their scientific development.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Chemistry or Science with a strong Chemistry background is essential.
- Experience teaching engaging and effective Chemistry lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
- A deep and current understanding of chemical principles, coupled with the ability to make the subject accessible and relevant, is expected.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong classroom management and the ability to manage practical experiments safely and effectively, are vital.
