An innovative and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher is required to join a well-regarded Independent school in Islington for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) to develop their creativity, problem-solving skills, and practical abilities through design and technology projects.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Design and Technology Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop students' skills in designing, making, and evaluating products using a range of materials and technologies.
- Foster a stimulating and safe workshop environment that encourages experimentation and innovation.
- Assess and monitor student progress in Design and Technology, providing constructive feedback to support their development as designers and makers.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design and Technology or a closely related subject.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Design and Technology Teacher lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- A strong understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and relevant technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with students and colleagues.
