Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with complex learning needs and supporting them to achieve their individual goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess tailored lessons for students with a range of special educational needs

  • Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) based on each pupils unique profile

  • Use sensory-based and alternative communication strategies to support learning and interaction

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

  • Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents/carers

  • Track pupil progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly

  • Contribute to school life, including meetings, training, and review processes

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching students with PMLD or complex SEN (ideally in a specialist or inclusive setting)

  • Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or similar communication systems

  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
