Job Title: Logistics and Production Planner
Department: Production
Reports To: Managing Director / Operations Director
Salary: £30,000 - 35,000
Main Duties:
- Design weekly production schedules with the guidance of the Operations Manager and Director.
- Ensure production schedules are efficient, taking into account product types, packaging, and operational constraints.
- Coordinate deliveries and collections to ensure first-in-first-out (FIFO) protocol for products in cold storage.
- Create job cards and labelling for each batch of products.
- Ensure labels comply with relevant legislation in the target market and are consistent with raw material information.
- Maintain sufficient stock of packaging materials to support scheduled production.
- Analyse production yields and investigate discrepancies when necessary.
- Ensure all raw material quality control (QC) and job cards are approved prior to production.
- Allocate products based on customer instructions (pending QC approval).
- Release products as per customer instructions.
