Job Title: Logistics and Production Planner
Department: Production
Reports To: Managing Director / Operations Director
Salary: £30,000 - 35,000

Main Duties:

  • Design weekly production schedules with the guidance of the Operations Manager and Director.
  • Ensure production schedules are efficient, taking into account product types, packaging, and operational constraints.
  • Coordinate deliveries and collections to ensure first-in-first-out (FIFO) protocol for products in cold storage.
  • Create job cards and labelling for each batch of products.
  • Ensure labels comply with relevant legislation in the target market and are consistent with raw material information.
  • Maintain sufficient stock of packaging materials to support scheduled production.
  • Analyse production yields and investigate discrepancies when necessary.
  • Ensure all raw material quality control (QC) and job cards are approved prior to production.
  • Allocate products based on customer instructions (pending QC approval).
  • Release products as per customer instructions.
