MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in the North of England, and Scotland with their plans for growth and internal expansion. We are supporting their recruitment by recruiting a permanent Field Service Technician, to join their team. A successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical support to a varied client base.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30, however there may be occasions where overnight stays or out of hours work is required- you must be fully available for this.

The job you will do:

  • Provide on-site service management at our customer facilities
  • Providing condition monitoring services
  • Provide service visits and cover at various other customer locations for company operations
  • Carry out routine technical support visits for the purposes of equipment condition monitoring.
  • Assist with small engineering projects
  • Assist with plant surveys, product trials and machine cleanouts etc

About you:

  • Full drivers licence - this position will cover travel to customer sites in the North of England and Scotland.
  • Weekly overnight stays will be required.
  • Flexibility of start and finish times depending on customer requirements
  • Experienced of working in a field based, mechanical, chemical or production environment.
  • Possesses a willingness to be adaptable and flexible.
  • The ability to self-motivate and work with minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience within a similar position.
  • The ideal candidate should be suitably qualified.
  • Have experience of working in a mechanical, chemical or production environment.
  • This is a 'hands on’ position and demands a willingness to be adaptable.
