JA1410 - Panel BeaterLocation - Rue Des Pres, JerseyType – PermanentSalary – £18.87- £23.80 /hour DOEOverview: We are currently recruiting for a Panel Beater to join our client’s national car business. The successful candidate will spend their first 2 days in the business, attending our client’s fantastic residential induction academy. This is at a lovely hotel in the heart of the Northampton countryside, where you’ll learn all about their business before you start your new role.Job Purpose:To drive the standard in customer care. To undertake body repair and restoration work on all makes of motor vehicles, achieving the highest possible standards of workmanship. To maintain the highest standards of safety, and to meet all legislative and corporate standards. You’ll demonstrate the Company’s Purpose, Principles, and Ambition (PPA) in all dealings with colleagues, customer and prospects.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the highest possible levels of body repair and restoration to all customers, on Ford and other brand vehicles.
  • Work within the relevant protocols, as dictated by legislation, the company, E-scribe, Manufacturers or ATA Senior Technicians, always.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, in an appropriate and timely fashion.
  • Create and maintain a supportive culture for all colleagues.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and development.
  • Deliver all services in the most resource-effective manner possible.
  • Demonstrates considerable skill and recognition as a vehicle body repair technician.
  • Understands the needs of both customers and the company and demonstrates this in their work.
  • Takes ownership in all aspects of their role, working without close supervision and demonstrating effective self-management.

Skills & Experience:Essential

  • ATA accredited, plus fully qualified – City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage processes administration and paperwork.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the need to balance customer satisfaction and quality with safety and the financial demands of the business.
  • Full driving license held for a minimum of 6 months with fewer than 9 penalty points.
  • Evidence of ‘Right to work in Jersey’

Desirable

  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Able to work as a team, and support and assist colleagues.
