Financial Accountant

Sellick Partnership are working with a leading Staffordshire-based education organisation to recruit a driven and detail-focused Financial Accountant. This is a key role within the finance team, with a varied remit covering financial reporting, treasury oversight, and compliance.

About the Role
As Financial Accountant, you will:

  • Lead on financial reporting and statutory accounts preparation

  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital management

  • Manage relationships with key external stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies

  • Support audit processes and year-end requirements

  • Provide insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making

About You
You will be a CCAB-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) with experience in:

  • Statutory reporting and external audit processes

  • Treasury or cash flow management

  • Balance sheet reconciliations and control

  • Compliance with accounting standards and regulatory frameworks

  • Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge

  • Communicating effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders
