CNC Programmer/Setter

Hourly Rate: £17.20 + overtime available
Overview
A long-established manufacturer based in Keighley is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter to join its growing team. With several upcoming retirements creating new opportunities, this is an excellent time to step into a hands-on role within a modern, forward-thinking engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set, and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines.
- Work from detailed engineering drawings and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Carry out self-inspection to ensure all components meet quality standards.
- Identify and recommend improvements to machining processes and efficiency.
- Support apprentices and uphold company values and teamwork culture.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven background in CNC machining — milling, turning, or both.
- Confident programming ability using Fanuc, Siemens 840D, or Heidenhain controls.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety, ISO9001:2015, and 5S principles.
- Proactive and adaptable, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Performance Measures
- High levels of “right first time” quality and on-time delivery.
- Low Non-Conformance Report (NCR) rates.
- Consistent adherence to housekeeping and 5S standards.
