At Teconnex UK we are a Global Manufacturing business, working with Automotive and Aerospace manufactured parts in Keighley. We require a Production Engineer to part to drive manufacturing excellence through world-class automation, lean manufacturing, and industrial engineering best practices.
This role will support the UK Operations team, ensuring that processes, equipment, and technology support the companys ambitions for safety, quality, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
The scope of responsibility includes
- Design, development of Production Engineering processes, including ownership of current processes
- Design of new innovative processes - and the machinery and tools required to enable Quality parts to be manufactured in a safe & efficient manner.
- Driving Continuous Improvement at all levels of the Engineering functions as well as promoting innovations in our processes and technologies.
- A key part of the Improvement Roadmap (Lean, Process Engineering / C.I. Safety, Quality & Efficiency) for the UK Keighley site.
- The UK Production Engineer will play a vital role in implementing the latest manufacturing innovations, digitalisation, and AI-driven process control to ensure Teconnex remains a leader in global operations.
About you
- A background spent within production engineering, with a proven track record of automation, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence is essential.
- Ideally a Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial) or equivalent experience.
- It would an advantageous if background is spent within a high-volume, complex, and quality-critical manufacturing environment (Tier 1 Automotive/Aerospace preferred).
- Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and industrial engineering best practices.
- Ideally has experience of implementing automation, including robotics, vision systems, and AI-driven process control.
- Must have involvement within manufacturing process review, improvement and change Project management experience.
- Would be an advantage if you have worked with IATF 16949 & AS9100 manufacturing environments. (Automotive and Aerospace manufacturing)
- Knowledge of pressing, rolling, forming, welding, and CNC machining.
