Academics, a leading education recruitment agency, are seeking a dedicated and skilled Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in one of our welcoming partner schools in Keighley.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about helping pupils with additional needs overcome barriers, build confidence and succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
The Role - Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant
As a key member of the school's SEN support team, you will:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN
- Implement personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies
- Promote confidence, independence and positive relationships
- Assist teachers with planning resources and adapting activities
- Safeguard the welfare and wellbeing of all pupils
- Work closely with SENCOs, external professionals and families
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A Level 3 qualification in Teaching & Learning (or equivalent) - essential
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN (ASD, SEMH, ADHD etc.)
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Excellent communication, empathy and resilience
- A proactive, patient and nurturing approach to supporting learning
