This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join the management team at our paper-converting site in Telford, Shropshire.



Role Overview

As the Engineering Manager, you will lead the Engineering team, ensuring effective equipment maintenance and working safely, quickly and efficiently to deal with breakdowns and scheduled PPM.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a team of engineers across Mechanical, Electrical and Engineering Planning disciplines, promoting a safe working environment through compliance with safety rules and guidelines
  • Controlling costs, including waste control, labour, engineering, and consumable costs, while also ensuring the Spare Parts warehouse supports maintenance efficiency
  • Managing and fully utilising the CMMS system
  • Researching innovative solutions aimed at ensuring the optimal operation of production equipment and improving maintenance efficiency, including energy improvement reviews, carrying out obsolescence surveys and creating action plans
  • Introducing a Reliability Centred Maintenance approach, considering planning, scheduling and execution of the agreed CBM
  • Assist in managing, verifying and controlling the installation of new equipment
