We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our client's dynamic team in Kendal on a temporary basis until 25th July 2025.

The Role:

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timeliness. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships with colleagues to meet production and assembly requirements on time.
  • Complying with Health and Safety regulations to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Picking materials for machining and build, and processing customer orders efficiently.
  • Receiving, inspecting, and booking in/out inventory using our computerised inventory control system.
  • Identifying obsolete inventory and addressing shortages on delivery notes.
  • Safely moving heavy pallets - so FLT experience would be ideal.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

  • Mon-Thurs 7:45am to 16:30pm
  • Friday 8:00am - 12:30pm

What We're Looking For:

  • GCSEs in English & Maths at Grade 6 (A-C) or equivalent.
  • Previous exposure to a similar working environment (industrial or manufacturing).
  • A working knowledge of technical systems and a strong computer literacy.
  • FLT Counterbalance/Reach experience.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Bring high energy, commitment, and a flexible, adaptable approach to work.

Rate: £12.21 per hour
