Mitchell Adam are currently supporting a well-established services business based in Wolverhampton who are searching for an Interim Financial Controller to run all aspects of the finance function during a pivotal time of change.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, commercially minded Financial Controller to demonstrate their ability to 'hit the ground running' in an evolving paced services business. You will be leading the business planning and forecasting as well as being involved in the continuous improvement of the finance function including cost control.

Ideally, you will:

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience of leading a financial function through a time of change
  • Have existing experience of being an effective part of a senior management team, effecting positive change dictated by high-level operational strategy (communicating this effectively downwards, and directing your team to achieve financial objectives aligned with overall business strategy);
  • Have good financial reporting, control & analysis skills, allowing you to quickly identify and address improvements that can be made in order to increase productivity, streamline processes and improve reporting outputs;
  • Have strong experience of providing financial support of a commercial nature to non-finance people - effectively managing these relationships for the benefit of the business (understanding the importance of challenging and 'pushing back' when needed)
