Through business expansion a fantastic opportunity has arisen within their finance team for a driven, up and coming finance professional who is looking to take their career to the next level. The successful candidate will be joining a busy, supportive and improvement focused finance team and be fully supported with development and further study. You will have exposure to a range of finance tasks including month end, P&L analysis and financial reporting. You will be working very closely with the Finance Manager and get first hand involvement with business partnering. This role will grow and develop with you.This opportunity comes with an annual salary up to £35,000 dependent on experience.Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting month-end process, including processing accruals and prepayments.
  • Understanding and supporting the PO process to ensure accurate recording of costs to the correct cost centre in a timely manner.
  • Carrying out clear and accurate balance sheet reconciliations during month-end process.
  • Supporting the production of monthly packs.
  • Analysing expenditure to provide insights to the business.
  • Business partnering with the business to enable costs to be reviewed, challenged, and understood.
  • Supporting finance managers with business analysis, the budget process, forecasting monthly figures.
  • Getting involved with process improvements, and other ad hoc tasks.

Candidate Skills and Attributes:

  • Completed AAT or degree within accounting or finance and driven to further study.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and data analysis.
  • Able to take ownership of tasks and move them forward.
  • Confident communicator with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Able to analyse data with an analytical and inquisitive nature, asking questions and challenging results.
  • Driven, highly motivated and a real desire to progress and succeed.
