Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Accountant to join their team. This role is pivotal to the company's development, supporting key projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in upgrading financial systems, enhancing operational processes, driving efficiency and growth, and ensuring the successful implementation of new technologies.
Responsibilities of the Systems Accountant
- Lead the upgrade and implementation of a new financial system, transitioning from the current platform.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business requirements and align system functionalities to organisational needs.
- Manage the end-to-end system migration process, including data transfer, testing, and rollout.
- Provide comprehensive training and support to key users, ensuring smooth adoption of the new system.
- Evaluate current financial processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
What the successful candidate will bring
- Proven experience in financial system implementation/upgrades
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience of Power Query/Power BI or similar
- Strong analytical abilities.
