  • The role requires a qualified candidate (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with demonstrable experience in a senior position within the Residential Development, Property, Construction, or Infrastructure industry.
  • The Finance Director will be responsible for driving financial performance, managing the finance team, and supporting the Managing Director in achieving the business plan.
  • The position offers a salary of £90,000 to £110,000, depending on experience, and candidates should ideally have significant experience in the relevant industry.
  • This opportunity can also be offered on an interim basis for six months for those available immediately.

Our client, a leading name within the Property / Residential Development space, has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Director to join the team in their West Midlands Office.Reporting the Managing Director with a dotted line to the Divisional Finance Director, the role of the Finance Director is to drive the financial performance of the business unit, manage the Finance Team and support the Managing Director in achieving the Business Plan. The Finance Director will be a key member of the Business Unit Management Team / Board and will also offer financial support and guidance to all departments. Responsibilities:

  • Develop the business plan (strategic plans and budgets) for the Business Unit with other Board members.
  • Ownership of the budgets and monthly forecasts for the business ensuring that they are accurate and well managed.
  • Review and challenge proposed land acquisitions including areas such as financial assumptions and VAT.
  • Ensure compliance with the Group Finance Manual and Limits of Authority
  • Manage the half and full year finance process with external auditors for the BU including joint ventures.
  • Ensure that the key assumptions, risks, and opportunities under - pinning the businesses and projects performance are robustly challenged, clearly understood and managed.
  • Oversee all weekly and month end processes and reporting for the BU.
  • Accurate and timely completion of returns to Group including, but not limited to, trading updates, budget packs, quarterly presentations, national statistics, salary reviews, bonus calculations.
  • Management of the BU cash forecasts and working capital
  • Preparation / review of monthly finance board papers including attendance at Board meetings
  • Preparation of quarterly review and budget presentations and attendance at the relevant meetings to present to the Partnerships Board
  • Financial management of all joint ventures and provision of reports to the agreed timescales including forecasting, board packs, yearend reporting / audit and attendance at Board meetings

Skills and Experience:

  • Must be Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Have Demonstrable experience of a senior role within Residential Development / Property / Construction / Infrastructure Industry
  • COINS experience would be desired but not essential

This opportunity can also be done as an Interim basis for 6 Months if you are available immediately
